Parks is nation's leading kicker
Francois, Williams, McClinton in top 5
NEW YORK, NY -- The North American Football League announced from their league offices in New York that Nebraska B.E.A.R.S. kicker Mike Parks is the nation's leading kicker with 63 total points. Mike has converted on 45 of 53 extra point attempts, and 6 of 12 field goal attempts. Mike's numbers also make him the 7th leading scorer in the NAFL.

B.E.A.R.S. quarterback Sanice Francois is rated the nation's number 3 quarterback. Sanice attempted 75 passes this season completing 45, for 510 yards and 9 TD's, with only 1 interception. Sanice did not play in the B.E.A.R.S. only loss of the season, a 16-9 road loss to the Kansas City Jazz.

B.E.A.R.S. all-purpose player Tommie Williams posted numbers this season that placed him among the nation's leaders in 5 categories. Tommie is the nation's 4th leading receiver in total number of receptions, with 43. He is 6th nationally in the total number of receiving yards, with 585. He is the nation's 2nd leading kickoff returner with 14 returns for 530 yards, 1 TD, and a 37.8 average per return. Tommie is the 4th leading punt returner with 17 returns for 270 yards, or a 15.8 average per return. Finally, Tommie is rated 5th nationally in scoring with 12 touchdowns, or 72 points.

In spite of missing the season's finale, the leader of the B.E.A.R.S. "hit-squad" defense, Terrell McClinton, ended up being 3rd in the nation inr tackles which combine solo tackles with assisted tackles. He ended the regular season with 85 (33 solos, and 42 assisted).
