The North Omaha B.E.A.R.S. program has fielded a track & field team since 1993 under the leadership of Jimmy Smith. There have been numerous individual and relay champions in both city and regional track competition. Additionally, many North Omaha B.E.A.R.S. have competed and placed nationally in track meets all over the United States.
Former North Omaha B.E.A.R.S. track team members have gone on and excelled on both the high school and collegiate levels. The North Omaha B.E.A.R.S. track and field teams serve boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18.
